Google Business Profile management · Australia-wide

If you're not in the map pack, someone else is getting the call.

The map pack is the box of three businesses Google shows at the top when someone searches nearby. Your Google Business Profile decides whether you're one of them — not your website. We manage that profile. That's the whole service.

The problem

Three slots. That's the list.

When someone searches for your trade nearby, Google picks three businesses and shows them in a box at the top with a map. Not five. Not ten. Three. That box gets the calls, and everything underneath is an afterthought.

Your Google Business Profile decides whether you're in it. Most tradies set theirs up when they started and haven't touched it since. Wrong primary category, so you don't show up for half of what you do. Services list missing three of your four lines. No photos since 2022. Hours that were never updated.

There's another thing worth knowing: your ranking changes street by street. Search from your own driveway and you'll probably look fine — that's the one place you're almost certain to appear. A few suburbs over it's a completely different result.

That's a fixable problem, and it's the only one this service works on.

The obvious question

Do you need to be in my town to do this?

No, and here's why — the work happens inside your Google Business Profile, which is a web page in your own Google account. Categories, services, description, posts, reviews, photos, Q&A. None of it requires anyone to be standing in your street.

What does require local knowledge is knowing which suburbs matter to you and what people in your area actually search for. That's why the first thing we do is scan your service area point by point and then ask you which of those points you want work from. You know your patch. We know the profile.

We'll also never pretend otherwise. We won't turn up to your premises, we won't photograph your vans, and we can't do your Google verification video for you. If someone's selling you local search and implying they'll be on-site, ask them how often.

We're based in Newcastle and on the Victorian Surf Coast, and we work with businesses in every state.

This doesn't work for every business. Here's where it does.

Most agencies will sell you local search no matter what you do, because the retainer's the same either way. Your customers don't all come from the same place, so this is the first thing we work out — and it's in your 48-hour benchmark in plain words, before you've committed to a second month.

Emergency and urgent trades

Plumbers, electricians, locksmiths, mobile mechanics, tow, glaziers, emergency restoration. Someone with a burst pipe searches, taps one of three, and rings. They don't compare quotes and they don't scroll. This is the segment the map pack was built for. Direct lead source.

Local domestic services

Pest control, cleaning, gardening, arborists, pool, handyman, removalists, detailing. People search when they need it and mostly choose from the top three the same day. Reviews and proximity do a lot of the work here. Direct lead source.

Trade-to-trade and commercial

Commercial electrical, tender work, subcontractors, wholesale, industrial. Your work comes from relationships, builders and tenders, so we're not going to pretend Google will fill your calendar. What the profile does do still matters: when a builder or project manager looks you up before ringing, a listing with the wrong category, no hours and two reviews from 2023 is your credibility check. Credibility, not leads.

What we actually do

Monthly grid report

Your service area mapped point by point, how many moved into the top three since last month, and what the profile actually did — calls, website taps, direction requests. Same measurements every month.

Photos kept current

New photos added, stale ones retired. It's one of the first things someone checks before they ring.

Competitor spam reporting

Some businesses rank by stuffing keywords into their business name. It's against Google's rules and it pushes honest operators down. We find it in your area and report it. Google doesn't act every time, but when it does, everyone below moves up.

Full profile rebuild — month one

Categories, services, description, attributes, service areas, hours, contact links, booking link. These are the settings that decide whether Google shows you at all. Most profiles have at least three of them wrong.

Google posts

Fortnightly or weekly depending on your plan. Service lines you want more of, availability, seasonal work. Keeps the profile looking like a business that's operating this month.

Reviews

On Growth and Dominate we respond to every review, and set up a system that makes asking for them something that happens automatically instead of something you keep forgetting.

Questions and answers

Anyone can post a question on your profile, including a competitor. We watch that section and answer the ones that matter.

Suspension monitoring

Google suspends profiles, sometimes for no good reason, and competitors submit edits to yours. We watch for both. If your listing goes down we handle the reinstatement and the documentation Google asks for.

How you'll know it's working

Your whole service area, measured monthly.

Each dot is a point in your service area. The number is where you rank there for your main service. Same grid, same keyword, same points, every month — so nobody has to take anyone's word for it.

You get this on day one as your baseline, before we touch anything. Every report after that is measured against it.

Nobody can promise you position one, and be wary of anyone who does. What we can do is show you honestly where you are and whether it's moving.

2 - We benchmark you within 48 hours

Your baseline grid, a plain-English list of what's wrong with the profile, and a straight answer on whether the map pack is a realistic channel for what you do. This happens whether or not you've given us access yet — the profile is public.

03 - You add us as a manager

One click from your own Google account. We never need your password, you stay the owner, and you can remove us any time. If you're not sure how, we'll send a 60-second walkthrough.

4 - Work Starts

Full rebuild through the first month, then ongoing management. Report lands in your inbox monthly. You don't need to do anything else.

The guarantee

If it's not working, don't continue.

You get 30 days from the day we start work on your profile. If your grid isn't performing better than the baseline we recorded at the start, cancel. One click in your account — no phone call, no retention pitch, no exit fee.

We won't promise you a number one ranking. Nobody honest will. What we'll give you is the same measurement every month so you can decide for yourself whether we're earning it.

On Pro and Max

We won't take on your competitor.

If we're managing a plumber in Bendigo, we won't take another Bendigo plumber. Not for more money, not ever. Same in Joondalup, Toowoomba or Blacktown.

To be precise about what that is and isn't: nobody can reserve a suburb with Google, and we're not claiming to. What we're committing to is our own client list — we won't be paid by you and your direct competitor at the same time, in the same trade, in the same patch. An agency doing that is being paid twice to fight itself, and one of those clients is being taken for a ride.

Working nationally means we've got room to hold that line properly. It also means spots go. Worth checking yours before you plan around it.

What we don't do.

We're not going to pretend this buys everything. Here's what sits outside it:

Your website. No changes, no website SEO, no hosting, no landing pages. We don't touch it.
Advertising. No Google Ads, no Meta ads, no ad management of any kind.
Directory submissions and link building. Not part of this.
Social media. Not part of this.
On-site visits. We work on your profile, not at your premises.
Fake reviews. Ever. It's against Google's terms and it's the fastest way to get your profile suspended.

We'd rather scope this tightly and actually deliver it than promise the lot and do none of it properly.

Straight answers

I'd rather talk to someone before I pay.

Fair enough. Ring [DAD'S NAME] on [PHONE]. It's not a pitch and there's nothing to sit through. If you already know what you want, skip it and sign up above.

What if my area's already taken?

On Growth and Dominate we'll tell you within 24 hours and refund you in full, and let you know what's open nearby. Essentials isn't territory-locked, so that's always available.

I've been burned by an agency before.

Most tradies we talk to have been. That's why there's no contract and no lock-in — if we're not delivering, you leave, and it costs you one month to find out. We'd rather earn it monthly than hold you for twelve.

Can I actually cancel easily?

Yes. There's a link in every receipt that takes you to your account. One click stops future payments. You don't need to email us, ring anyone, or explain yourself.

What if I don't have a Google Business Profile yet?

Tell us before you sign up. Setting one up from scratch means getting verified by Google first, which usually involves you recording a short video of your van or premises — we can't do that part for you, wherever we're based. It's straightforward, but it adds a couple of weeks before the real work starts.

What if my profile gets suspended?

It happens, including to businesses that have done nothing wrong. On Growth and Dominate we monitor for it, and if it happens we handle the reinstatement including the documentation Google asks for. No extra charge.

Why don't you do my website too?

Because doing one thing properly beats doing five things adequately. Your profile is measurable — there's a map, there are three spots, you can see whether you're in them. We'd rather be accountable for that than bundle it into a retainer where nobody can tell what did what.

What are your support hours?

[HOURS] AEST/AEDT, Monday to Friday. If you're in WA or the NT that's a few hours ahead of you — email lands whenever, and we answer within 48 hours.

Do you need my Google password?

No, and you shouldn't give it to anyone. You add us as a manager from inside your own account. You stay the owner, we can't remove you, and you can remove us with two clicks whenever you want.

Do you work in my area

Anywhere in Australia. The work is done inside your Google profile, so where we're sitting doesn't affect it. We're on the Victorian Surf Coast and we have clients in [STATES].

Shouldn't I use someone local to me?

You can, and some good operators only work locally. What matters is whether they do this specific work properly and whether they'll show you real measurement each month. Ask any agency — local or not — for a grid scan of your service area before you sign anything. If they can't produce one, that tells you something.

Couldn't I just do this myself?

Yes, honestly. The profile is free, the settings are all in your own account, and nothing we do is a secret. Plenty of tradies manage it themselves and do fine. The reason people pay us is that it's a couple of hours a week forever — posting, answering reviews, watching for changes and edits — and it's the first thing to slide when you're flat out on the tools. If you've got the time and you like this stuff, do it yourself and keep the money.

Can you guarantee I'll be number one?

No, and be careful with anyone who says otherwise. Nobody controls Google's ranking system. What we can promise is that the work gets done, you see your real grid data every month, and you can leave whenever you like.

How long until I see something?

Your baseline lands within 48 hours. Profile changes usually start showing in the grid within three to six weeks. Movement compounds over months rather than arriving all at once.

One price. On the page.

Most Australian agencies charge $1,000 to $2,500 a month for local search work and won't tell you the number until you've sat through a call. Ours are published.
