Cancellation policy
Subscription cancellation policy
Last updated: 2 September 2026
Short version: month-to-month, cancel any time by email, no notice period, no exit fee, no phone call required.
How your subscription works
- All subscriptions are month-to-month with no minimum term and no lock-in contract.
- You are billed monthly in advance on the anniversary of your purchase date.
- Your subscription renews automatically each month until you cancel it.
- All prices are in Australian dollars and include GST. The full monthly amount is shown before you complete checkout.
- Your first payment is taken at checkout and your service period starts immediately.
How to cancel
Either of these works, and both take effect the same way:
- Email admin@localseomarketing.com.au from the address on your account and say you want to cancel. That's enough — you don't need to give a reason.
- Log in to your customer account on our website and cancel the subscription there.
You do not need to phone us. You do not need to speak to anyone. There is no retention process, no minimum notice period, and no cancellation fee.
We'll confirm your cancellation in writing within one business day. If you don't hear back within one business day, please follow up — but an unconfirmed cancellation request sent to admin@localseomarketing.com.au still counts as a valid cancellation from the date you sent it.
When cancellation takes effect
- Your subscription stops renewing immediately. No further payments will be taken.
- Your service continues until the end of the billing period you've already paid for. You keep the full month you've paid for.
- Cancelling an hour after being billed, or an hour before, makes no difference to whether you're charged again — you won't be, either way.
Refunds on cancellation
- We don't refund partial months. Your paid period runs to its end and you receive the service for it.
- If you're within your first 30 days, the 30-day performance guarantee may apply — see our Refund Policy.
- If we cancel your subscription without cause, we refund the unused portion of your current period.
- Nothing here limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, including your right to a remedy if there's been a major failure in the service.
Pausing instead of cancelling
If your business is seasonal or you're taking a break, you can pause instead of cancelling. Email us to arrange it.
- Pauses run in one-month blocks, up to three months at a time.
- Billing stops while paused and active work stops too — profile monitoring continues.
- Territory exclusivity does not continue during a pause. If you're on Pro or Max, pausing releases your territory and we may take on a competitor while you're paused. If that risk matters to you, stay active rather than pausing.
Changing tiers
Email us to move up or down a tier. Upgrades take effect immediately with the difference charged pro-rata. Downgrades take effect at your next billing date. Moving from Pro or Max down to Core ends your territory exclusivity from the date the downgrade takes effect.
Price changes
If we change the price of your subscription, we'll email you at least 30 days before it applies to you. You can cancel before it takes effect and you won't be charged the new price.
Renewal reminders
We'll send you a reminder before each renewal showing the amount and the date. Every reminder includes a direct link to cancel.
What happens to your profile
Your Google Business Profile is yours and stays yours. We remove our manager access and you keep everything published to it. Tracking numbers and dashboard access end — if you want to port a tracking number, tell us before you cancel so we can check whether the carrier allows it.
Problems cancelling
If you have any trouble cancelling, email admin@localseomarketing.com.au and we'll sort it immediately. You can also contact Consumer Affairs Victoria, your state fair trading body, or the ACCC.
